How do we give you a fair price?
You never know what we might find amongst the contents of your flat. Kevin Corneille, who owns Adelphi House Clearance, has vast knowledge of antiques and uses this to make sure you receive a fair price for your contents. He knows exactly what antiques are worth, so if we come across anything of value, we will compensate you fairly for it by adjusting the price of our clearance services. Sometimes, a customer’s contents are so valuable, we have handed money over to them, rather than them paying us! Other clearance companies simply don’t have the knowledge we do about the value of contents – they will often just offer a fixed clearance fee.
How do we go about clearing your flat?
When you contact us about clearing your flat, this is what will happen:
We arrange a visit, where we will be able to give an accurate quote. We never quote without seeing a property first – you deserve a fair price.
You will receive your quote immediately, in writing if required.
We will arrange a time to carry out your clearance. If you prefer, you don’t need to be present and can leave it to us. We can pick up keys from neighbours, estate agents or solicitors.
Your flat is left clean and tidy. We clean down surfaces and hoover floors – it’s as if we were never there.

The choice is entirely yours. Important items such as paperwork and jewellery will be handed over to you when we have finished.

Probate valuations
Probate is never an easy process. It’s a difficult time for families anyway, without the worry of complex paperwork and valuations.
We work with families, solicitors and estate agents to evaluate the contents of a property, also known as chattels, before it is sold. Our reports are sent out within 5 working days.
We offer probate valuations for a fixed fee of £165 – many companies take a percentage, which can dramatically inflate the cost. Once items have been catalogued and recorded, we can proceed with a probate house clearance where required.
